How to sign in to your dashboard

There are two ways you'll access your dashboard: accepting your invitation the first time, and signing in on every visit after that. This article covers both.

First Time: Accepting Your Invitation

Modern Genius is invitation-only — your tutor sends you an invitation to get started. You do not need to create an account or enter your email address on the first visit.

Step 1: Open your invitation email

Look for an email from Modern Genius with the subject line "You've been invited to Modern Genius." It will arrive from noreply@send.mymoderngenius.com .

Don't see it? Check your spam or promotions folder. If it's still not there after a few minutes, ask your tutor to resend it.

Step 2: Click "Accept Invitation"

Click the Accept Invitation button in the email. You'll land on a page that shows your tutor's name, the email address you were invited with, and any personal message they left for you.

You have two options on this page:

Send me a sign-in link — click the button and we'll send a one-click link to your invited email address. No password, no typing your email. Check your inbox, click the link, and you're in.

The sign-in link expires in 24 hours. If it has expired before you click it, go back to the invitation page and request a new one.

Sign in with Google — if your invited email is a Gmail or Google Workspace account, you can sign in directly through Google instead.

If you wish to have sessions added to your Google Calendar, you must accept the checkbox permissions during your first Google authorization.

Once signed in you'll land on your dashboard — you're all set.

Every Visit After That: Signing In

After your first sign-in, you don't need the invitation link again. Go directly to the sign-in page:

You have the same two options here:

Email — type your email address and click Send me a sign-in link. A link will arrive in your inbox within a minute or two. Click it and you're in.
Google — click Sign in with Google and complete the Google sign-in flow.

If you use Google, make sure you sign in with the same Google account your tutor used to invite you. A different Google account won't work.

Bookmark the sign-in page so you can get back easily.

Troubleshooting

I never received my invitation email.

Your tutor needs to send you an invitation before you can access the platform. Contact them directly — they can resend it from their dashboard.

I clicked my invitation link but it says "Invalid" or "Expired."

Invitation links expire after a set period. Ask your tutor to send a fresh invitation — the new link will work immediately.

I requested a sign-in link but never received it.

Check your spam or promotions folder. If it's not there after a few minutes, try requesting another one. Make sure you're using the same email address your tutor used to invite you.

My sign-in link has expired.

Sign-in links expire after 24 hours. Return to the sign-in page and request a fresh one — it only takes a moment.

I'm getting an "Access denied" error.

This usually means the email you entered doesn't match the one your tutor used to invite you. Confirm the correct email with your tutor, then try again.

I signed in with Google but it says I don't have an account.

You may have used a different Google account than the one your tutor invited. Sign out of Google, then sign back in with the correct account.

Something else is wrong.
